Engineering Teacher

Professor Philip Hubbard is a founding parent at CSS and has been teaching middle school (and sometimes 12th grade Capstone) Engineering for 14 years. Prof. Hubbard received a BA in Economics from Drew University, an MBA from NYU, and 30+ education credits from Hunter College. He had a construction business renovating apartments in NYC for 30 years. This is where he learned about the principles of engineering. He passionately believes that the problem clarification and collaborative solution process embodied by the Engineering Design Process is one of life's most important skills. He has also been conducting the Future City Competition for the past 13 years. He is a member of the American Society of Engineering Educators (ASEE)
