School Leadership Team
Composed of the principal, parents, teachers, and students, the School Leadership Team (SLT) develops the school’s Comprehensive Educational Plan (CEP) that is aligned with the school-based budget. It helps to evaluate the effectiveness of the school’s educational programs and their impact on student achievement. Priority focal areas for the current SLT include: revising & re-establishing school mission & vision; socioemotional learning; and building relationships between middle and high school students through meaningful involvement opportunities. Members of the SLT serve a three-year term; if positions are available, SLT members are nominated and elected at the end of the school year.
The SLT meets once per month, usually the third Thursday of every month at 5:30 p.m. on Zoom. Please check monthly calendars, the calendar on this website, or with the parent coordinator (Ms. Isis Ramos) to confirm dates and times. All members of the CSS community are welcome to attend SLT meetings, but they are unable to vote. Parents who are not SLT members are encouraged to bring issues of concern to any SLT parent representative prior to meetings. Requests for topics of discussion should be submitted in writing at least one week in advance of the meeting date. Members of the school community who are not SLT members may request speaking time at meetings to discuss specific topics.
