Art & Music

The mission of the CSS Arts Department is to inspire our students to connect with the artist inside themselves and the creative and diverse world around them.  Through in-depth art-making projects and experiences, students develop critical and creative thinking skills, elevate their artistic expression and curiosity, and engage with each other and the broader community.  Students begin in Middle School with three consecutive years of Music, then continue into High School with a two year Visual Art sequence.  Electives are also available after school to students who wish to expand their studies.  CSS is a school that is rich with intellectual, social and cultural diversity, and the CSS Arts Department is a reflection - and expansion - of this richness.
