Social Studies teacher
I grew up traveling the world due to my father’s job which allowed my family to live in Europe for most of my life until age 24. I hope to pass on this love of learning about other cultures, history, and the complexity of the world to my students as well as inspire them to engage in global travel and learning abroad in order to become compassionate global citizens. I received my bachelor’s degree in Anthropology/Sociology from Rhodes College in Memphis, TN, and then a master’s degree in Environmental Education at the City College of NY. Environmental stewardship and sustainable economic development is my second passion and I love working with students to imagine and create a greener world. In my free time, I write about and sustainability in developing nations like India, hike, garden, and explore the world.
