Staffmember Bio

I am entering my fifth year of teaching, and second year at CSS. I live in Washington Heights with my husband and am psyched that CSS has so many biking, hiking and swimming enthusiasts. I spent my summers outside and in the water as a child and worked at Alford Lake Camp many summers directing the drama department and teaching arts and crafts.

I grew up in Massachusetts and Maine and graduated from Wesleyan University in 2005. After teaching 7th and 8th grade history at a private school upstate, I spent one year in Newark, NJ teaching 5th and 6th grade history at charter school. In the sping of 2009 I completed my Masters in Teaching Social Studies at Teachers College and student taught 9th grade history in the New York City Lab School and Beacon.
