Engineers have a passion for improving systems for people, and so does CSS!
In this spirit, we have set up email and interactive web portal for parents, students, and staff. Our hope is that these custom-built tools will allow the school community to come alive in both a physical and a virtual space. As a school for 21st century citizens, our emails, web profiles, and online course assignments are as important to us as our hallways, textbooks, and pencils. Students and parents: please help us make this vision a reality by using these tools to their fullest! You are also invited to report bugs and make suggestions for improvement.
Our current email system is driven by state-of-the art Google Apps, which is quite user-friendly and allows email, calendar, and document sharing. Each student and family has their own email account. The mail program is at the webmail link in the right sidebar of the website.
Our school web portal login is on front page of this website. The web portal allows students, parents, and staff to access and edit key personal information, see course descriptions and assignments, and keep profiles. The website provides the school critical contact information about parents, so keeping your information up to date is important.
Most parents have received email notification of the login details for these accounts. If you have not received notification of your login information, or are have gotten stuck with aspect of the site, please contact Andrew Stillman, Associate Director for Technology and Information Systems, at andrewstillman@columbiasecondary.org
