JM: Had two agenda items

1. Discussed plans for Tuesday new parent potluck, 6/3/08
2. Update on admissions; discussed some openings for next year’s 7th grade due to attrition

Awards’ Dinner, preparation

--Miriam is sending two letters to Monica—an invitation to the awards’ dinner and a notice about the silent auction (discussion of raffle issue, high bidders vs. raffle winners)

--Miriam, discussion of making of a program for the event in which parents and local vendors can purchase ads

--JM says programming for awards’ dinner to be arranged by Chance Nalley with PA agenda

--JM: notes that students want to give teacher awards either from them or from the whole school, but the faculty have mixed feelings

--consensus of SLT is that awards should be given to all the teachers

--JM notes a CD being created by the kids with the help of Samantha Gonzalez; this will be in with the program at the awards’ dinner 

Remaining Budget Funds

JM: stated that funds left in budget at end of the year are to be allocated to human resources 

Discussion of gifts to teachers

DOE cap is $25 per teacher per family contribution
