Dress Code - Comments by Principal

TO PURCHASE YOUR SHIRTS AND ANY OTHER ITEM WITH THE SCHOOL SHIELD YOU CAN EITHER FILL OUT THE ORDER FORM SENT TO YOU BY MAIL (YOU SHOULD RECEIVE THIS FRIDAY JULY 21TH) AND send it to us with a check to CSS-PA ((Columbia Secondary School-Parent Association) or USE IT TO CALL IN AN ORDER AT 1 800 469-2222 OR ORDER DIRECTLY FROM LANDSENDs WEBSITE at www.landsend.com our school's code is 900120858).

YOU DO NOT NEED TO BUY ANY ITEM OTHER THAN THE SHIRT FROM LANDS END.

STUDENT UNIFORM CODE:

In May 2007 the founding class of 2014, represented by 68 students (75% participation rate)  voted on the uniform proposal and came to the recommendations outlined below.

1) PANTS - intermediate blue jeans (NO DESIGNER JEANS OR MORE THAN $60). keep it basic and simple!

2) SHIRT - Light blue dress shirt (long sleeved) and light blue polo shirt either short or long-sleeved(students may wear either on any given day but ALL students must possess at least one dress shirt for special occasions as determined by the Principal and or student government). All shirt options will have the CSS shield and lettering.

3) BELT black (or if a beltless pant option is chosen, no belt)

4) SHOES - black shoes or black sneakers (any brand)

5) TIE - dark blue (optional to wear on any given day, but all students must have at least one tie for special occasions as determined by the principal and/or student government)

6) Jacket - an optional dark blue (navy) jacket will be available with the CSS shield.

We also agreed that the GYM uniform will consists of the following (all will be available for purchase during the first week of classes)

1) T-shirt designed by students Luis Morales as per student vote

2) long or short dark blue exercise pants (depending on weather)

3) sneakers - free for all to chose brand

4) a dark blue fleece jacket with CSS shield for cold weather, which can be worn in the school at all times. (required)

5) a hooded cotton blend sweater with CSS shield, which can be worn in the school at all times. (optional)
