Looking for Volunteers and Donations from Students and Families to help Celebrate Black History Month
Come one, come all to the First Annual Columbia Secondary School for Math, Science, and Engineering's Black History Month Pot-Luck dinner.
Planned Events:
8 Grade Sim-City Engineering Expo
It is a long-term project that the students have been working on since September, that started with a Virtual City Construction on SimCity and progressed to writing and editing a research essay and narrative as well as a 3-D Scaled Model and Tri-fold board with a presentation. It is a very unique celebration of student work that does have a competition and judging section to precede the dinner as well as a brief awards ceremony to follow the Potluck
- Poetry readings by students.
- Dance performances by students.
- Last but certainly not least; eating and enjoying the company of our great community
Prepare a dish and bring the family for a night of conversing and catching up with everyone in the Columbia Secondary School Community.
In order to make this event become a reality, we need everyone's help we can get. Please let Professor Meinschein know if you are able to volunteer your time and energy by preparing a dish, through making a donation of cups, plates, napkins, etc, or if you are able set aside some time to help with the set up/clean up.
