School counselors are professionally trained and New York State certified professionals whose role is to identify and address student needs through the use of a comprehensive school counseling program geared towards student success. The Guidance Office at CSS is committed to providing a supportive environment that encourages each student to reach their utmost potential. Student success is the goal, and this is obtained by working collaboratively with the entire CSS community, including students, families, teachers and other stakeholders. Students should view their Counselor as a resource to help them develop and acquire skills, abilities, and knowledge to successfully succeed at CSS. The Counseling program is an evolving program which focuses on the three domains of student growth: Academic, Personal/Social, and Career/Post secondary planning.

The Guidance Office offers the following services:

  • Referral Services for Families and Students

  • Transcript Reviews & Requests
  • Transition Services
  • Study Skills

Monday through Friday
8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
